【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportdescribesavelocity-areamethodwhichcanbecarriedoutusingthreeverti-calsonly,withoutsignificantlossofaccuracy,andgivesadviceonwhensucha"short-cut"methodshouldbeused.ThemethodspecifiedinthisTechnicalReportisnotanalternativetothevelocity-areamethodspecifiedinISO748,whichgivesaccurateresultsandshouldbeusedundernormalconditions.Thisshort-cutmethodhasalimitedfieldofapplicationandisin-tendedforuseonlyinspecialcircumstances,ex-amplesofwhicharegiveninclause7.
