【摘要】:Usethistestmethodtoobtainaquantitativevalueindicatingtherateofmoisturevaporemissionfromaconcretefloorandwhetherornotthatfloorisacceptabletoreceiveresilientfloorcovering.Themoisturevaporemissionrateonlyreflectstheconditionoftheconcreteflooratthetimeofthetest.Allconcretesubfloorsemitsomeamountofmoistureinvaporform.Concretemoistureemissionisanaturalprocessdrivenbyenvironmentalconditions.Allfloorcoveringsaresusceptibletofailurefromexcessivemoisturevaporemissions.Themoisturevaporemittedfromaconcreteslabismeasuredinpounds.Thismeasurementistheequivalentweightofwaterevaporatingfrom1000ft2ofconcretesurfaceina24x2013;hperiod.Thecalciumchloridemoisturetesthasbeentheindustrystandardformakingthisdeterminationandisapractical,well-establishedandacceptedtestofdynamicmoisture.Itwillproducequantifiedresultsdirectlyapplicabletoflooringmanufacturer’specifications.Theresultsobtainedreflectonlytheconditionoftheconcreteflooratthattime.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthequantitativedeterminationoftherateofmoisturevaporemittedfrombelow-grade,on-grade,andabove-grade(suspended)concretefloors.1.2Thisquantityofmoistureshallbeexpressedastherateofmoisturevaporemission,measuredinpoundsofmoistureovera1000ft2areaduringa24-hperiod.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
